LongHorn Steakhouse looks to open Sheboygan restaurant next to Olive Garden
The restaurant would be built near Highway 42 and Interstate 43
TOWN OF SHEBOYGAN — LongHorn Steakhouse has plans to build a restaurant on Highway 42.
Earlier in June, a developer submitted plans to construct the restaurant on land north of the Olive Garden restaurant on Highway 42 near Interstate 43. There was no word on when construction would start if the Town Board approves the plans. Town officials have been working on a development agreement since the land is owned by the Town.1
The property where the restaurant would be built is between Olive Garden and Lake Country Academy charter school. Stop-and-go lights were recently installed at Dairyland Drive and Olive Garden Way to facilitate the increase of vehicle traffic.
The Town of Sheboygan location would be LongHorn’s fourth Wisconsin restaurant, joining Greendale, Green Bay and Madison. It would also be the Town’s second steakhouse as Texas Roadhouse is located on Highway 42, directly across the street from the proposed development.
Olive Garden opened in late January 2024.2
LongHorn Steakhouse is a casual dining restaurant chain owned and operated by Darden Restaurants, headquartered in Orlando, Florida. They also own Olive Garden, Cheddar's Scratch Kitchen and The Capital Grille in Downtown Milwaukee.3
