Concrete mixer truck rolls over in Sheboygan
Sheboygan Police arrested a driver on suspicion of driving under the influence
SHEBOYGAN — A multi-vehicle crash involving a concrete mixer truck Friday morning shut down North 14th Street.
Police say speed and alcohol may have been a factor in the crash.
Shortly before 7 AM on Friday, June 1st, the Sheboygan Fire Department responded to a report of a multi-vehicle crash with several people injured. When firefighters arrived at the scene, they observed three vehicles involved. A concrete mixer truck and a car had rolled over and another car had severe damage.
Sheboygan Police said the driver of a silver car had been speeding, going about 80 MPH in a 25 MPH zone, weaving in and out of traffic when he slammed into a red car and a cement truck from Schmitz. Paramedics took three people to local hospitals and officers arrested the driver of the silver car.
A number of agencies assisted Sheboygan Police including the Wisconsin State Patrol, Sheboygan County Sheriff’s Office, Sheboygan Fire Department and the Sheboygan Department of Public Works.
